Annual Trustee Dinner
Thursday, October 11, 2012

Pre-Registration Required: Deadline, Friday September 14, 2012
Sponsored by: Helen of Troy, LP
Co-Hosts:

The trustee dinner offers an intimate opportunity for collegial networking among foundation trustees interested in children, youth and family issues. It also provides a forum for networking and sharing around the role of Trustees in philanthropic efforts to address critical children, youth and family issues in their foundation communities. Attendees include Trustees of GCYF member foundations and other foundation trustees attending the annual conference, as well as Trustees of foundations in the host city and region. Guest speaker F. Scott McCown, Executive Director of the Texas Center for Public Policy Priorities will set the context for our discussion, exploring fiscal and economic policy issues impacting children, youth and families and the role of trustees in shaping the work of their foundations to strengthen families and communities. Following Mr. McCown’s framing remarks, trustee dinner Co-Hosts will engage attendees in an informal discussion over dinner. During the dinner participants will have the opportunity to engage Mr. McCown and each other to consider ways to work better with other funders to maximize resources directed to improving the lives of children, youth and families.
